SAME Honolulu conducts a variety of initiatives to promote small businesses in our industry. These activities include the following:
- Pacific Industry Forum - SAME promotes opportunities for our Sustaining Members which include both small and large business, as well as the military services. Presentations are given by members of the Air Force, Army, and Navy on their upcoming programs and contracting opportunities in the Pacific.
- Annual DoD Hawaii Small Business Forum – SAME promotes and participates in this event, jointly hosted by Air Force, Army, and NAVFAC Pacific and the Hawaii Small Business Development Center Network.
- Sustaining Member in the Spotlight – A Sustaining Member Briefing is conducted in conjunction with our monthly lunch programs to allow existing and potential member firms to introduce themselves to the membership.
- Engineers’ Week Kickoff Luncheon – SAME Honolulu sponsors and organizes this annual luncheon at the Hale Koa Hotel along with all the Society Members of the Hawaii Council of Engineering Societies (HCES). This event allows for networking opportunities between small businesses and other organizations which our members rely on to perform their business in support of the DoD.
