Students

One important component of SAME Honolulu’s mission is to connect with our younger generation through outreach and mentoring. Through SAME Honolulu’s active participation in various activities held throughout the year, we mentor and build professional relationships between Post members and students from K-12 to those majoring in engineering and related programs at local colleges and universities. We also help facilitate the introduction of students to the military engineering fields and job opportunities in military engineering through various activities, including the following:

• Community service programs

Small Business

With over 95% of businesses in Hawaii being classified as “small” according to the SBA, the small business community is an integral part of Hawaii and SAME Honolulu. We promote the role and relevance of small businesses in SAME through outreach, education, opportunity and recognition.
